¿What is Art Soda?

Art Soda is an app made for people to learn how to draw by drawing a little everyday.

This project was inspired by Canvas Tutor, an app I used my whole childhood that helped me a lot to get better at drawing, however, it's been long since that app is not available. I REALLY wanted to have something like that again, however, I didn't really find anything that was as good as the original Canvas Tutor, so nothing really catched me.

Therefore, I decided that I could recreate something similar, with my own touch just for fun and for myself, however, seeing how the project kept taking shape and all, I started by sharing it with my friends, and seeing their reactions I think it is something that I want to share with everyone, since I really think it's just a silly little cute app, nothing too serious. This project is in no kind or way trying to copy or steal Canvas Tutor, if anything I'm just trying to recreate it with my own touch, but I really want to make it clear that this is not my original idea or anything and I will never claim otherwise. Actually, most and I mean MOST of the things that Art Soda has, were already in Canvas Tutor.

This app was made with AI, almost entirely, since I DO code, but I am only familiarized with Ren'Py, and I tried making.... something.... there, like, trying to make this app using Ren'py, and it kinda worked but I wasn't happy with the result, so I made it from scratch using Claude and I like a lot that the result is taking shape into exactly what I wanted it to be.

All of this said, given that this is an app heavily inspired by another app, and that I didn't really code it, but had it all coded for me by AI, and also the fact that I don't really consider this an important project but rather something small made with love and very little dedication, just for the porpuse of fun, I don't really expect any profit from it. If you really like it and want to donate, I won't tell you no, but I really want to make clear that the access to this app will forever and ever be free for everyone, because this app was made with the sole porpuse of helping people train and get better, starting with myself.

What Art Soda offers

Art Soda is still in early development, but it currently has:

• Everyday, a lesson from the categories is chosen, there are seven categories in Art Soda- One for each day of the week! This makes you practice something different everyday
• Category progress shows you all areas that you have practiced and how much.
• A galery to see your works
• A few toys that pick things for you to draw
• Fully customizable, all lessons will be chosen by you! This way you can adjust them to your own level and liking (don't worry, I will also make a free PDF full of pre made lessons for you to copy-paste into your Art Soda!)

Future things to add

These are things that I PLAN to add, they are not confirmed

• Free PDF full of pre made lessons (okay this one IS confirmed)
• A downloadable version will be published once the project takes a bit more shape, since in it's current status Art Soda is barely useful at all...
• A full aesthetic rework because I really want it to be cream soda themed completely
• It is in my plans that all the future features I add can be customized because I want the user to have full control over their app, it is designed to help people after all
